I fished the narrows yesterday in my new boat and ended up wit 15 really nice perch. I was fishing in 45 FOW useing perch rigs baited with minnows and wigglers. I did get a couple on crawler pieces.

Personally, I think it's kind of nice to have fewer alewives because the lack of alewives seems to be allowing the perch to rebound. That's what happened on Saginaw Bay when the alewives crashed. Ok, channel 8 on the TV this morning said we had a low of 15 degrees last night. So I started wondering if the water temperature in the Rapid River had risen very much since the last time I checked it. The temp. was 42.6 on March 19th. Guess what the temp. is this morning???? How about 39.9!!! Really shows...
