Today's 1/2 day trip had to be the ugliest day Kenneth has spent on the water in a long, long time. Boat control was a disaster with strong northeast winds, and the cold rain didn't feel too good dripping down the guys backs either. They left the Gladstone Yacht Harbor shortly after 6:30 a.m. and headed to the north end. Fortunately Kenneth had a couple of great guys along willing to help run all the lines, etc. They certainly didn't knock em' dead today, but the guys did end up with a nice limit of fish for the camp fish fry. All of their fish came on Walleyes Choice (http://www.walleyeschoice.com) harnesses trolled behind bottom bouncers. They tried a variety of colors today, but I-48, I-42, I-79, and I-76 were the best. They caught several fish suspended today, and they had several nice fish come un-buttoned. Bite was subtle again, with most fish just barely hanging on, not pulling the board back at all, they had to feed it to them a little before tightening up to the fish. By the time our 5 hrs was up the wind was really kicking up it's heels, and trying to go .8 to .9 mph was getting a little tough, even with drift socks out to slow our troll. Here's a picture of today's fish along with a little video as well. Weather permitting, Kenneth will be back at it again tomorrow, good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
