What a beautiful afternoon on the water yesterday. Mickey, Tim and Matt were back out with me for a short 5hr trip. We left the Esky harbor around 4:30 and headed north a ways. We started casting spinnerbaits for pike, but quickly realized they were not active at all with the bright conditions. We then got switched over to the walleye mode and headed to a spot a little closer than where we fished Wednesday. From 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. we could not keep all the lines in the water. We had doubles, triples, and had two fish on when we were pulling lines in and getting ready to head in. It was some of the most fun and hectic fishing I've had in a while, the guys called it "quite a workout". In all, we had about 25 fish hooked and the guys kept 15. All fish came while trolling WalleyesChoice (http://www.walleyeschoice.com) harnesses. I'll have to post the colors later because we were using some colors I haven't used in a while and I'm not sure of the numbers. We came in just after the sun went over the horizon and the full moon was coming up. With such a beautiful night I was surprised to only see two boats on the water and the closest one was over a mile away from our location. Here's a picture of our catch...good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
