Kevin and I had the chance to get out this afternoon again for a couple of hours, however, we didn't get to fish where we wanted to because of some mechanical problems with the snowmobile. We got half way to our spot and the thing just quit on us. We got it running again and decided we better just stay close to shore in case we have to walk in. Neither one of us mind a little exercise, but walking a mile or so over the ice to shore isn't my idea of fun anymore! So...we turned around and just picked a spot on the gps along a sharp breakline and punched some holes. We each got one keeper and a few throwbacks, and that was it. No flags on tip-ups, and each of us only marked a few decent fish. If I can pry myself out of bed Friday morning I'll try the spot we were heading to today. Kevin's fish came on a size 6 holographic trout Ice Darter http://www.icedarter.net and my fish came on a size 8 holographic purple tiger Ice Darter. Not the best fishing today, but anytime we can get out is nice. "Thanks" for the fish bro', will make a nice supper for New Years Eve. And yes...the snowmobile ran just fine on the way in!!!
