Well, my wife and I thought we were kicking big walleye butt with her catching a 28 inch walleye Wednesday and myself a 29 incher Thursday. But then longtime guest (now good friend) Brian Frost came in the store and "let the air out of our sail". He and his friends didn't catch any numbers today, but they sure caught some quality fish. Brian's friend John (last name escapes me) caught a decent northern, Matt followed with a little better one at 32 inches and 9 1/2 pounds. Then Brian topped it off with a piggy walleye that is going on the wall. It came in at 30 1/4 inches and a whopping 11 1/2 pounds! Brian was hoping to get his wall mounter, so I guess this trip is a success. Congratulations Brian!!! Two other guys staying with us ended up with 5 eaters today and lost two more that were keepers. Yesterday, my dad snuck out of here for a couple hours and caught a few nice perch. He said he would have done really good had he taken more bait. He only took 6 minnows and they were gone quick!!! He tried waxworms, but the perch wanted minnows.

I got to thinking that those pictures didn't really due justice showing the belly on that walleye, so here is another one for perspective.
