Went out today south of Gladstone and had pretty good luck. At about 6:35, a fish comes in and smokes a #9 firetiger. After a pretty good battle, I landed the fish, a 27" eye. The fish inhaled the bait and was bleeding bad. I decided rather than wasting the fish, I would keep it. Here is where it gets fun. 5 minutes later, a TANK smokes the number nine. After about a 5 minute battle, I get her to the ice. She is freekin 33" long. Weighed her on the digital at 12.1 lbs (was bouncing to 12.6). Shiiiittttttttt, back she goes, guess I saved a few bucks on taxidermy. Ended up with a limit, the other fish under 19". Oh well.... Sorry bout the crappy pic but with that wind tonight, I was afraid to stand up for fear of blowing away.
