Today I had the chance to get my 4 yr. old son Cameron on the bay for some walleye action. The bite has been awesome the past few days so I figured it would be a great time to get him interested in fishing the "big water". He loved the boat ride out and before we could get all the lines in the water we had fish on. I planned on running six lines, however the bite was so fast and furious that it was hard to keep 4 lines going. In the hour and a half we were out we landed 8 keepers, let many small fish go, and lost some decent fish as well. All the fish came using bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses behind planer-boards in 12 to 17 fow. We would have stayed out to get two more for our limit, but the back and forth wave action had his little tummy feeling a little queezy...so we headed in. Here's some pictures of our awesome father/son trip today! I sure am proud of my little guy!!! Now if I could only get my tournament partner to fish that good. LOL
Thats awesome to see the young ones get so excited and to be interested in the fishing like that. We are coming up on Friday hope the good fishing holds out till we get there. P.S. GOOD JOB YOU GUYS
