Today I shared the boat with Will and Gloria from Neighboring Canada for a short 5 hr. a.m. trip. They are on their way to visit relatives in Sarnia Ontario before heading back to their home near Calgary Alberta. We got on the water around 6:30 and headed back to the spot we did well on Thursday. We started out good with a couple nice keepers within the first 10 minutes of the morning, then we hit a dry spell and were only catching undersized fish and pesky perch. After a short stop at another location (where we caught only undersized fish as well) we went back to the deep water location we fished Thursday. Slowly but surely we started to get a few fish, and lose fish too!!! I'm not sure why we lost so many fish today...it was very frustrating!!! I guess we only ended up with 6 keeper walleye from 16 to 22 inches and some perch. I probably should have tried some different colors, depths, etc., but it's hard to go away from what worked so well just two days ago. Here's a picture of today's kept fish, we'll be back out there tomorrow. Unfortunately they're calling for a west wind...the absolute worst wind for fishing out here. Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
