For those of you as dumb-founded as I am about why Saginaw Bay has significantly less perch then when we were kids, you might find the attached picture interesting.
They shot this cormorant while either goose or duck hunting near the Saginaw Bay. They took it home and cut it open to look at its stomach contents. Look at all the perch in its belly, and this is just one cormorant!

Last year on one of the islands on Big Manistique Lake there must have been 400-500 of these things.....I have to believe the long term effects will be devastating to inland lakes especially.
