In just a few days we'll be back out there chasing marble eyes. It should be an interesting opening weekend, as of two days ago we still saw fish coming up the rivers. This cool spring we're having might not have the fish jumping in the boat, but judging by the ice-fishing season it looks like there will be a decent number of fish in the 15 to 19 inch range. We had a very good hatch of walleyes in 2007 and a lot of those fish are keepers and should provide some good fishing.
Don't forget the drift socks...they can save the day!
If there's a particular color harness you like, chances are we've got it at the Resort. We carry all 432 of Capt. Keith Wils' Walleyes Choice harnesses. I know I'll have several of them in my boat!
Come check out the new J and K Tackle in-line weights too...we just have 3/4 oz. right now, but soon we'll have 1 oz. weights too. The color patterns are awesome. Hook a harness to them and go!!!
Good luck to everybody this weekend, highs in the 50's are forecasted, so dress warm.
