Well, the day didn't start off too good. My brother Kenneth and his clients left the resort at about 6:00 am and proceeded to make it to the middle of the highway bridge over the Rapid River right next to us (50 yards?) when the truck just quit. No electricity of any kind! So we unhooked the boat and John from TKL came and towed the truck back to their shop across the street. He then went and got our boat off the highway bridge. Not a great spot to have a boat parked with all the semi traffic...Anyway, John had it fixed (corroded fusable link) in record time and Kenneth and his clients left again about 8:00 am for a 5 hour trip. I don't know too many details other than Kenneth said they should have had lots more fish today, but they kept coming unhooked. They ended up with 4 keepers and some nice perch. So all was not lost. Had very mixed reports from everyone else staying with us, some said it stunk, some said "so-so" but better than yesterday. Everyone said once the wind kicked up they at least started marking more fish. Special thanks to John from TKL for getting us out of a bind this morning so we didn't have to cancel today's trip!
Boy do I know what ur talkin about. Was fishing same general area Kenneth was and couldn't keep the hooks in crap. Had a few even take a chunk of crawler between hooks and not get stuck. Made me re-sharpen hooks I already sharpened and still drove me crazy... Oh well nice day none the less.. tight lines boys..
