Today's 1/2 day trip was with Patsy and Ray Furmanski...aka Mom and Dad Furball! We hit the water at 7 a.m. and had 15 fish in the box by 10 a.m. and then played catch and release the rest of the morning. The bite slowed some after boats started running over the fish with their motors running. That will spook the fish everytime! It took a little while for Patsy and Ray to get the cadence right with the jigging technique, but eventually they started catching fish too. It was a new way to fish for them, but now they can go and do it on their own and hopefully have success. It sure would have been nice to have a little breeze this morning, it was pretty calm. There's a pretty good wind blowing now though, that should help stir things up again and get the fish active again all throughout the bay. We had a couple of big northerns grab small walleyes today, that was kind of cool to see. The little walleye that was all sliced up didn't think it was cool though! Here's a picture of the Furmanski's with their nice mess of "eaters".
