Today's 1/2 day trip was with Jack, Connie and Ken...all originally from the northern Indiana area. We got on the water around 6:30 a.m. and headed to the north end to troll Walleyes Choice (http://www.walleyeschoice.com) harnesses behind bottom bouncers. We found fish that were biting...the only problem was they were all on the small side. We released many undersized fish in the couple hours we fished at the north end. We then made a move down towards Gladstone and pitched jigs near some new weedbeds that are coming up...nothing going on down there either. Our last attempt at some fish was down by the Escanaba River. There we finally got into some keepers, landing 6 "eaters" and releasing about 30 undersized fish in the last hour or so of our trip. That storm system we had come through sure did mess up the bite and cleared the water up in some of our recent "hot spots". I'm sure that with some stable weather this week and some nice sunny days to warm the water back up...the fish will be biting again real soon. At least I hope so... Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
