My brother Kenneth and his clients struggled bad yesterday only catching one keeper walleye and a 40 inch pike ( which they released). Lots of throwbacks, but only the one keeper 'eye. Damn north winds!!! Blowing pretty good from the north again today. Hopefully we get some south winds again before too long. I did speak to a local yesterday that has been catching some really nice perch near the Day's River with the best depth being 13-15 feet. He has also been catching quite a few nice eating size pike in the 26-30 inch range. From what I've heard, not much happening yet on salmon between Escanaba and the Ford River can. I would think that action should be starting anytime though. Then again, this year is kind of strange with the very cold spring and early summer we had, so who knows...
