My wife Theresa and I launched the SS "It Floats" for a couple hours yesterday with the intention of doing nothing but casting for pike since it was a perfect day with cloudy skies and light rain off and on. Long story short, we only caught a couple small pike amd she caught one decent smallmouth bass. What I was amazed at was how little weed growth there is in areas that are usually just about unfishable at this time of year because the weeds are so thick. I guess it's just another example of how cold a spring we had. Theresa ended up rowing us in the last 300 yards or so due to our batteries running out of juice (what a great wife!).
