Looking at getting up in the Gladestone area this month and hoping to find some reports on hot colors, morning / afternoon / evening bite being better than another. I appreicate any new reports in advance. Tight Lines.
I haven't spoke to anyone fishing at night lately, so I don't know what's going on there. I do know there are still alot of walleye buried in the weeds. Drifting Lindy Rigs with just a two inch piece of crawler caught lots of fish the last month. Some years it's a better day bite, some years it's better at night. Dragging Lindy Rigs with suckers and chubs along the base of the breaks can be deadly in the fall. Trolling leadcore and stickbaits also accounts for alot of fish in the net. The bay has had lots of perch in it all summer, and the perch fishing will only get better as we go along in October. The third week usually see's some of the best action for perch if memory serves me right. My brother Kenneth has charters Tuesday and Wednesday, so I'll get some better "up to date" info then. Good luck...
I'll continue to watch the reports, but with this warm spell, I am sure water temps are a little higher than normal, eh? Again, thanks for the updates. Tight Lines.
