Here is some video and pictures from today's release of 6,000 walleye into the waters of Little Bay de Noc. This makes two years in a row that larger 6-12 inch walleye have been planted in an effort to make a very good walleye fishery, even better! These larger fall fingerlings have a much higher survival rate than fry. Officials from the Michigan DNR were present today as well as from the Delta County Chamber of Commerce, Delta County Convention and Visitors bureau, Bay de Noc Great Lakes Sportfisherman plus State Representative Ed McBroom and Senator Tom Casperson. I'd like to personally thank Dave Anthony and the Hannaville Indian Community for their help in this effort because it probably would not have happened without their generous donation.
Kevin great job with the video. On behalf of the Greatlakes Sport Fishermen INC. it was also my pleasure to thank Dave Anthony for the $ 10,000 donation from the Hannahville Indian Community and the many other donors who made this possible.
