Went out last night with my oldest son north of Gladstone on the east bank in 30fow. We marked alot of fish but only managed to land a few small perch and a 16" walleye on a tipup. We both each lost a couple jigging also.
This morning I went out by myself south of Gladstone. I was set up and fishing by 7 in 28fow. I had my limit of eaters by 9:30. 1-16",2-17", and 2-18". 3 of them came on #7glow hot perch and 2 on a #5 fire tiger rapalas. I did not tip them with anything. I only marked 12 fish. I also lost 1 half way up and missed 2, so the ones that I did mark were fairly agressive.(I cant get any photos to load)
Good job Ed...I found the same thing, didn't mark tons of fish, but the ones I did mark I got to bite. It's usually a pretty good bite just prior to a low pressure system coming in, I would imagine the next couple of days might be a little slower and then they should be biting again by mid-week...which just happens to be when I can get out again! NICE FISH!!!
