Fished a little north of Gladstone this afternoon with my buddy Jeremy, trying to stay away from crowd noise. We got on the ice about 3:30, but with the moon out and a pretty bright sun, I knew it would be a late bite. We didn't start marking many fish until about 6 p.m., then it was pretty steady until just before 7. It was pretty much pitch black out when I landed the last keeper. We ended up with 5 nice keepers between the two of us and a couple shorts. Jeremy landed one jigging and two on a tip-up. I didn't set any tip-ups and just jigged going hole to hole. I still find it amazing how many people head in before the fish even start biting some days. We both had lots of lookers that we couldn't "seal the deal" on...but it was a beautiful day to be on the Bay. Going to be a zoo out there tomorrow I would imagine...think it might be time to go back for some more gills. My dad said we were swamped with bait customers all day, seems to be lots of fishermen around. We were in 28 fow and our best jig was a #7 green glow jigging rap. Good luck to everybody this weekend!!!

I'd like to give a big Thanks to Captain Ken Lee for letting me go fishing with him today. It was definitely a blast and the best day i have had yet this year.
