Can you guys keep me updated on how much snow you're getting?  I'm supposed to be coming over for a fishing trip very soon.  I'm hoping it blows off the bay!

Thanks

Hey Dooger, I don't think this crap is gonna blow off, as it's wet and heavy and sloppy here right now. It's supposed to let up this afternoon. We'll keep ya posted. Slammer!!!

Thanks.... We were supposed to get slammed in the EUP, but now we're only supposed to get 2-3 inches in the next 24 hours and 30 mph winds.

Bad enough. I don't know exactly how much we got but it was plenty and it is very wet and heavy. I won't be out on the lake until next week Thurs. maybe. People keep talking about 13 to 18 inches of ice. I don't know where they were fishing, but I have not seen more than 11 inches (measured) this year and ran into areas where ther was only 5 or 6 inches. With all the weight of the snow and water on top of the ice now, I don't like it and having some bad vibes. I guess we'll have to wait and see some other reports. Use caution out there!!! Slammer!!!

Went out in front of the municipal dock last night. It was a sloppy, drifty walk out and didn't get a thing. The ice was making me nervous as well. I didn't measure but it was about 8-9 inches where we set up. Hard to hear it with all the wind we had, but the ice was cracking all over the place. I could feel the vibrations like little earthquakes under my feet. Snow is VERY wet and heavy. Untill it stiffens up a bit, I may steer clear for a few days myself.

Dooger,

I agree with Slammer. I don't see any of this snow blowing off. It is some of wettest crap going. Wasn't sure if I was going to be able to plow out my brother's house or not. I started going in his drive straight on and made it about 40 feet off the road and came to a dead stop! Then I had to start chipping away at the bank I made. What a pain in the butt. Took way longer than I had planned. Then woke up to another 3 inches this morning and started plowing all over again! I think a friend of mine is going out this evening, so I will post what he found for conditions after I speak to him later...

I talked to a guy here that was on BBDN and said it wasn't bad at all.
