Just the scaredy cats are on the beach today....The real fishermen were on the ice. lol lol lol I was out but it could be my last trip for the season. The wind was howling from the south and the current was super strong coming from the north. With the current sooooooo strong the ice was pealing off in big chunks just outside of me. I thought mayby I should pack up and head home. But I did manage to ice five dandy whitefish and one 17 incher. All the fish were caught on a 1/4 inch Pearl Double Trouble from Keith Wils.

Thanks. I bought a 3/4 oz DT jig last week with the hopes of getting out to a rock, but I never made it. Do you have trouble with the 1/4 oz in heavy current?
I do have some problems wit it in real heavy current. The last few days fishing in 47 FOW it has been so strong I can't even mark it on my vexilar. But if I can get it on bottom I fish it.
