Let's start off with a real nice walleye brought in by Dale Kuklinski a few days ago. Darned if I can't remember the length and weight, maybe he can fill us in if he sees this. The hurricane force north winds over the weekend really put a damper on the walleye bite on both Monday and Tuesday and dropped the water temp. down to 64 degrees (it's back up to about 70 again though). I know of five boats that were out on Monday and I think there were 3 walleye kept between them all. I think Kenneth and his clients only caught one keeper on Monday. Tuesday was not much better. Kenneth and his clients didn't catch squat in the 5 hours they were out, but some guests of ours did catch 4 I think. The walleye bite picked up considerably yesterday though with a good friend of mine catching his limit by about 8:30 in the morning. He caught all his fish trolling spinners and crawlers and he said the bite was crazy for awhile, but then really dropped off when the sun got higher in the sky. Oh yah, he kept a dozen perch too. Guest Joe Volpe caught a dandy smallmouth yesterday that was almost 5 1/2 pounds and it will be adorning his wall in the future. I said let's have some fun and told him to hold it way out from his body when I took the picture so it would REALLY look humongous (not that it wasn't)! Good luck on the water folks...
