well let me tell you, back in the day we had to walk to school in this weather-backwards so our tongues didn't freeze to our teeth. Yet we still managed to (at least try)bombard the buses with snowballs. I tell ya, these kids got it made! On another note, it's too cold out to ice fish so i'll stay in and play GI Joes or something. And eat Capt. Crunch- in a really big bowl- cuz that's how I roll.
You should see my brother's cereal bowl...I think he gets two bowl fulls out of a box of cereal, and I have to agree...Capt. Crunch is some mighty fine eatin'. 2nd only to Quisp...but they don't sell that anymore!

Heard that quite a few drove off the Vagabond launch this past weekend. A buddy also told me that he saw a truck come out from the Nelson's Bay access (yellow gate). Everybody is saying a solid 8 to 12 inches in the upper bay (Gladstone north). There was a shanty by the Lighthouse in Esky today also, but I have not heard how much ice is down that way. Going to be below zero again tonight, ice should be booming!!!

I checked it out with Binocs today. There are over a dozen shacks at the mouth. Quads all over. Should be good to git.... Lets hope for an improvement on the bite!
Brother and I fished the first break off the Terrace last night, O fish and very few good fish marked. Lots of smaller marks but no takers so don't know what they were. several shacks pulled out and headed South. 1 other group set up for overnight had 0 when we left. Son and his buddy fished off the Esky. O fish and no hits there either. He said about 12 shacks there and not many people in them. We left at 7 and he stayed until 9pm
10-15 inches of ice and lots of quads heading across to the mud. lots of small pressure cracks and pack ice all over to the South. Son said he traveled the shoreline South of the terrace to get to Esky cause the ice sucked.
