Hard to believe Tomorrow is the last day of walleye season already. Good luck to all !!!
I didn't get out nearly as much as usual this year due to multiple issues, but I don't think I missed a whole lot . Worst year for walleyes ever since moving here 18 yrs ago. What gives??? Other than a few guys who had some good luck and caught a wall mounter, I heard of NO ONE who caught any numbers of fish or had ANY consistancy whatsoever. I'm about ready to give up on em. i don't consider myself an expert by any means, but COME ON !!!
It gets a little old coming home with yer tail between your legs and nothin to show for your time , effort , and money. Wished I had some answers, and hope it changes next year. Slammer!!!
Don't think i'll get to make it for walleye any more this year, but the one time i did go i caught my limit for the day. They were just eaters (16-21) nothing to talk about though. The slush on the ice got to bad so i was no longer able to get out with a vechicle any more. Good luck to all the guys who are going out to purse them tomorrow.
I hear ya Slammer...been a tough one this winter following a tougher than usual bite this past summer too. I made it out last night and lost a hog, caught a 17 incher, lost two more eaters that came un-buttoned and released an undersized one. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of decent fish I marked too, probably the most I've marked in over a month. Getting them to bite has been the problem...must be plenty of food down there because the ones you catch sure are nice and fat!!! #9 parrot was the bait of choice last night, giving it one last hurrah tonight...good luck to all!!!
