5-15-13 Report - Opening day for walleye!

Guest Jimmy Clausen and his partner Ethan caught their limit this morning and they caught all there fish just drifting with Lindy Rigs (slip sinker - swivel - 4 foot leader - floating jig tipped with 2 inch piece of crawler). Jimmy said it took a little longer than he expected. I guess having to fish to 11:30 am is too long! They are the only guests I spoke too today first hand, but my dad spoke to a couple others who had also caught their limit today. Definately heard more reports of 25-30 inch fish being caught which is expected since they just finished spawning about a week ago and have not migrated back out to the open waters of Green Bay yet.  One guy told me he had a water temperature of 47 degrees about mid-morning, which is cooler than normal. Bite should get even better once the water warms up a little more. All in all, from the early reports, opening shaped up pretty good!
