The last couple weeks are kind of a blur because we have been so busy (which is good). More hectic than usual too after losing some help in our store with no notice. So I apoligize for the lack of reports. That said, the fishing has been pretty darn good and is still going strong right now. Here are some pictures from the last ten days or so. The perch picture was taken last weekend if I remember correctly, and the perch bite is still good at this time. The 2nd picture was also taken last weekend. We also had the race car we sponsor at UPIR here at the resort last Saturday for pictures with the kids (and adults) like Sarah Closs in the picture. Our driver Matt Valiquette and his girlfriend Rhonda Sanville were on hand for 3 hours and Matt signed some autographs. The Rapid River Memorial Day Parade always draws a big crowd. The 6th picture is from a couple days ago and the last picture is from today. Rick and Darrell had a great morning on the bay today for sure! I know the folks that fished with Captain Wils today also caught their limit of walleye. My brother Kenneth has been drydocked due to hitting a log in the bay and breaking off the skeg of the 300 Suzy. Got everything settled today with the insurance company and hope to be back on the water real soon. Better get out there folks, because the fish are bitin'!!!
Ouch on the skeg! It's going to be a rough year for lower units on the Great Lakes I suppose. That Warrior is a nice looker for sure! How's Kenneth like it so far?
Working on 7 years with the Nancy Jane...and no problems at all, except for the ones we can't control, like hitting a piece of wood in 40 fow in the middle of the bay. Skeg will be fixed soon we hope, and I can get in on this great bite happening right now! Guests have been doing real well and a buddy of mine got his limit in less than 2 hrs. yesterday while drifting the north end. I just wish it would warm up some, summer is being very stubborn this year.
