Sounds like the walleye bite dropped off a little. But then again, I haven't spoke to that many folks to make a fair assessment. But the few I have spoke too struggled both yesterday and today. Perch on the other hand are a different story. I missed longtime guest Tom Bunce this morning before he left, but spoke to him after he got back home and he said he and his buddy caught 38 really nice perch yesterday in 20 feet of water. The smallest was 9 inches and the biggest 13 with worms and leeches catching the most. Darn near felt like summer today too. Nah, must have been dreaming. One thing is for sure, if the weather patterns don't change much the rest of summer, we are probably looking at an early ice up! Been way too busy lately, but as soon as we get some time, my wife and I hope to go chase some cats before they start spawning. Oh yah, if anyone catches any suckers, I will pay $3.00 a piece if you drop them off because I need some for cut bait. The whiskered walleye are calling!!!
