Well, I got done cleaning fish around 11 p.m. last night and headed home for a few hours of sleep. It's kind of weird when you get home and everybody in the family is asleep and then you get up and leave and everybody is still asleep. Today I had Cliff, Dan and Jeremy on board for a half day trip. We left the Gladstone Harbor at 6:30 and went right back to where we put the fish to bed last night. This morning we had much more boat traffic to deal with, but we found fish in a tight corner of a weedline away from all the other boats and we had pretty consistent action for the first 3 hrs. We landed 11 keepers, lost some nice fish, released several undersized walleyes and then they kind of shut down for us. Again...all of our fish came trolling Walleyes Choice harnesses behind bottom bouncers. I-42, I-62, and I-76 are still on the poles!!! The fishing has been good folks...better get out there and enjoy the rest of this short summer. Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
