Not much to report, fishing has slowed quite a bit with the colder weather and north winds blowing out the warm water. Water temp. went from 76 to 56 in just a couple of days two weeks ago...and it's taking the fish a while to adjust. Scrapped yesterday afternoon's trip because of high winds, but we'll be back out there Tuesday afternoon. We did get a few eyes last week, and a really nice 22 1/2 inch smallie that I meant to post a picture of and forgot. I heard a better report from today, so maybe the fish are finally getting used to the temperature change. Sure miss that 75-80 degree water temp., it's definitely when the fish are the most active and provides the most consistent bite. Opening day of small game today, so good luck to all the hunters out there.
