I have a feeling this last blast of snow today and blowing is the nail in the coffin for 4x4 and truck travel unless you have a hell of a rig or know lots of guys with shovels.
I have not been out in a few days, but driving off any major trail or road is gonna have to be snowmobile travel only from what know and hear. Any thoughts or anyone else been out or check conditions??? Enquiring minds want to know!!!
Couple guys staying with us were out today and said they saw trucks constantly getting stuck and lots of shoveling being done. They never saw a single quad the whole day. Yup, snowmobile is definitely the way to go now. What a winter!!!
I bought a horse today and plan on taking him out next week fishin. Shouldn't get stuck with him unless he steps in a hole. See ya out there!!!
P.S............I'll be the guy on the brown horse !!!
I'm gonna need that horse to drag my shack off.... Maybe I can coax him into it with some candy bars. Funny how earlier this year I was telling some buddies from Marquette " a quad is the way to go here. Only been two or three times in the last 5 years you needed a sled." I know better than to say stuff like that. For that I'm sorry.
Years ago I considered a "versitile fisherman" one that could catch fish under many conditions, on different bodies of water, with different techniques and methods.
I guess a "versitile ice fisherman" is one that has a 4- wheel dr truck, a 4x4 ATV, jeep, side by side, snowmobile, airboat, hovercraft, wilcraft, sno-shoes, ice skates, chains, skis, duck boat, tobaggan, red sled, otter sled, wagon, or sno-cat!!!
Slammer!!!
