Today's 5 hr. trip with Mike and Leslie-Ann from the Grand Rapids area of lower Michigan started out a little on the slow side. It took a while for me to find some warmer water and figure out that the fish wanted the bait trolled into the wind, and they wanted it trolled very slow. We were trolling with Walleyes Choice harnesses behind planer-boards in the upper bay. Our best speed was a slow .8 mph, and our best bite was from 11 a.m. until noon. By far our two best harness colors today were I-86 and I-99. This warm weather should help kick the bite into gear as the water warms up into the 60's where it should be this time of year. Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
