During the past week or so, I have heard quite a few good reports on the walleye bite. While there have been "mounter" sized walleye being caught ever since first ice, the bite for smaller "eaters" seemed to be much slower than normal. But that now seems to have changed. A couple of my friends have either done quite well lately, or saw others come off the ice with decent catches and actually saw the fish in person. Face it, some like to exaggerate a wee bit so I always take things with a grain of salt if I don't see the fish with my very own eyes. That said, things seem to be looking up now and with a nice January thaw on the horizon, looks like both the fish and weather should make for some good fishing coming up. I'm hoping to finally get out on the ice next week sometime. Good luck out there folks and stay safe!!!

Do not bring up the game!!! Trying to forget it!!! I have heard there are trucks on the upper bay, but have not seen them for myself. But can't believe there isn't now for how fricken cold it has been. We had anywhere from 9-11 inches before the cold snap, so should be fine now I would think...
