I wanted to head up around 2-12-18. Just wondering about the conditions.

Is there a thick heavy snow crust on top of the ice as my truck is heavy and breaks through?

Right now there is good travel with trucks , sleds, atvs just about anywhere on the bay.
Landings are good and no pressure cracks on north end that I know of. Off the Terrace Bay there  is one in shallow water, but passable. Ice is thick and unless we get dumped with snow  should be great for a while.
Some drifts around shacks but not bad.
