Kenneth was out with longtime client Dale Dewildt from Appleton Wisconsin today. It was the first trip of the season. Infact, the first time the boat has been in the water this year. He was supposed to fish with Dale on opening day, but Kenneth's wife got some time off from work and Dale was kind enough to move his trip to today so Ken and his family could go visit his in-laws downstate (thanks Dale). Anyway, they had to work for them compared to past years, but still managed a limit. All the keepers came on floating jigs tipped with just a 1 or 2 inch piece of crawler. I forgot to ask what the water temperature was today, but many guests have told me about 52-53 degrees. Once this water warms up a little more, we should see a big improvement in the bite. With the exception of yesterday due to the wind, our guests have been doing pretty good. One area in particular that seems to be holding some fish is the east side of third reef in 20 to 24 feet of water. Good luck on the water folks...
