Well...we finally have some summertime weather and it seems to have turned the fish on a little. We are starting to have a bite that's more typical of Little Bay de Noc this time of year. Today I had a great time sharing the boat with three generations of the Gibson family from the Green Bay area. Gary Sr., Gary Jr., and son Kyle had a great time catching walleyes on the bay today. We got on the water early because of the threat of storms later in the day. Once again we were pitching jigs and crawler halves and the fish were on fire. We had caught 22 keepers by 9 a.m. and then went searching some other areas. We switched gears for a while and trolled harnesses, but that only netted us some undersized fish. We were going to do some drifting, but the wind wasn't quite strong enough, so we went back to jigging for the last hour of the trip and caught and released a bunch more nice fish. We had around 35 keepers today, many undersized fish, and we lost some nice fish at the boat too. We had some good quality fish today, many in the 18-20 inch range. I'm not sure what we'll do tomorrow, might head out to c & r some hawgs. It sure is nice to see families like this fishing together...the memories will last forever. Here's some pictures of today's trip, good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area. Captain Ken Lee Bay de Noc Charters http://www.baydenoccharters.net
