Kenneth had Steve Lambert out for another 5 hour trip yesterday evening. Since there was extra room in the boat, I tagged along with my "flip" video camera. We got on the water around 3:45 pm and it wasn't too long before the first fish was hooked. But......it happened to be a pike. Descent one though. We were trolling with leadcore line and stick baits. Thankfully there wasn't much wind since it was snowing the whole darn time. I know one thing, I need to get a serious foul weather suit before I go out in weather like this again!!! Aside from the weather, it was a pretty good evening on the water. The bite was actually best when we first got on the water and seemed to tail off the closer we got to dark. Ended up with 9 walleye, a whitefish, 2 pike, and a huge carp. A carp and a whitefish on a crankbait, now that doesn't happen too often. Good luck on the water folks...

Three colors, shallow cranks, anything with silver/blue or trout colored was working best. Not a fish on purple, normally one of the best colors! Not the nicest of days, but when the fish are biting, it definitely makes it more bearable.
