The last few days was spent fishing with Ivan Robertson from Cadillac Michigan. We didn't have the greatest weather for fishing the last three days, except for Thursday afternoon when we finally found some dirty water and ended up filling out our limit with 6 walleyes before heading in. Yesterday was another half day, and we had intentions of fishing just south of Esky where we left the walleyes on Thursday, but the strong winds and 4 to 5 foot swells made us turn around just after leaving the Esky Harbor around 7 a.m. We decided to venture to the Esky River area where we mananged to catch about 30-40 fish...however, we were only able to land 4 keepers. We did get a 23 incher that coughed up a couple of big alewives in the livewell, so that could be an indicator of the slowdown in the bite for larger fish. Here's a picture of yesterdays fish, and one of the alewives that the largest fish coughed up. Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
