Theresa and I started off casting for pike this evening. Probably shouldn't have spent so much time on the pike since we could not get a single northern to rise for over an hour and a half! Finally switched over to trolling for walleye using my brother's new in-line spinners and caught a 14 1/2 incher right off the bat. Then another about 18 inches. Then the wind started blowing from the north and we could not catch another walleye to save our lives. We did catch a couple perch we could have kept (hindsight wishes I would have now). Since the wind started blowing and we weren't going to fish much longer anyway, we switched back to fishing for northerns trolling the old Johnson silver minnows up through the weeds on center reef while heading back to the launch. Only caught one little bugger. I have never seen the weeds so thick on center reef. Sure was nice out there until the wind came up. And it definately beats working!
