I just spoke to a friend of mine that was at the trial, he said the judge found them guilty on 80 counts. They have to pay a total of about $30,000.00 in fines and restitution, took 4 snowmobiles from them, and also issued a lifetime ban on tribal subsistence fishing. At this time, I want to once again give "kudos" to our conservation officers for doing such a thorough and proffessional investigation. Guys (and girls) you deserve alot of respect and are a great asset to our community. Once again, THANK YOU!!! I also want to extend thanks to the Soo Tribe and the judge in this case for not just "slapping them on the wrist". So thanks to you too!

Today's paper says the fines and costs only total $13,175.00! So I have e-mailed a friend in the DNR and will let you know what I find out...
