Well...the kids have been bugging me to take them fishing lately, and since Cameron had the day off from school, we decided today would be a great day to try and get some fish for tonights supper.  We left the house around 10:30 this morning and headed to the resort to get some of Grampa Bob's wiggly worms.  Knowing that perch come shallow in the fall, we decided we'd just fish from shore today.  It didn't take long for the fun to begin.  Cam's bobber went down and he brought in a beautiful 10 1/2 inch perch.  Noel caught the next two, and the competition was on.

The wind blew some weeds into the area we were fishing, so we decided to try a new spot.  After a quick lunch break and 20 chicken nuggets later...we tried in the Gladstone harbor.  Nothing but small fish there so Cam thought we should try the spot with the green bars.  That meant he wanted to try the Escanaba harbor, so off we went.  We stopped at Kids Kingdom for a few minutes and then to Esky we went.  We stayed the rest of the day there and ended up with just enough fish for tonight's supper.  We kept 11 nice perch and 2 sunnies that swallowed the hook.  Both kids enjoyed the day, but not half as much as Daddy did.   I think the catch was pretty evenly split between the Scooby Doo pole and the Barbie pole.  Here's a few pictures from today's adventure.  Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
