Ran up to Kipling to scope out the ice situation. Even with all the wind, it appears that about 3/4 of the upper bay formed a skim of ice last night. Compare the pictures from today against the ones from Monday http://coas****ch.glerl.noaa.gov/mod...egion=m&page=1 One calm night should be all it takes to lock it in good and tight, (they're calling for winds under 10mph Wednesday night.) I wouldn't be surprised to see a few guys venturing out between Kipling and Butler's Island for perch and pike this weekend, (be darn careful, guys!)
