Last minute decision to hit the ice today. I got out first and my wife Theresa joined me a couple hours later. I only caught one teeny tiny walleye and one more about 14 3/4 inches before she arrived. I then put her in the shanty and I went outside and sat on a bucket. I only caught 2 more dinks after I went outside. I did get to fight a big pike that was pretty close to 40 inches until my lure got stuck on the ice and she came off! I would have let her go anyway so no big deal. Theresa had quite a few lookers but only caught one dink walleye and one keeper walleye of 16 inches. Oh, I forgot, I also caught one perch about 10 inches. Not a great afternoon. Hopefully others did better than we did...

It was a better day fishing than Barb and I had yesterday. We went to an inland lake up FH 13 yesterdayand came home with one nice gill. Between the two of us we also landed 5 undersized pike. I did a lot of walking and a lot of drilling in search of those gills but never did find them. I cought one pike while searching and then got the gill so we moved the Clam to that spot. We cought two of the pike there and saw lots of others on the camera but we would lift our baits up so we didn't catch them. We also saw lots of gills that woud come in and not even look at our baits. Is there somrthing we are doing wrong.....?
