First I want to say I hope others are doing better... I got on the ice this morning by 7:00 and fished until 10:30 and never marked a decent fish. Came in for lunch and headed back out about 1:00. Met my brother Kenneth on the ice. Ten minutes after I got there, he had a flag and pulled up a nice walleye. He caught one more dink, but that was it. I never marked a decent fish all day! Came home and took my wife to the movies. By the way, "No Strings Attached" is a very funny movie! None of our guests the past few days have done squat either! Hopefully it will pick up when it warms up. Also...I apoligize for the wind noise in the video...
Way to put it to em Kenny!!! Hey Kevin, When are you gonna let him be YOUR camera man ? LOL!!! Nice fish , and always love the video to go with it. It's bad enough when the fishin is slow , but this subzero weather sure makes it even less enjoyable. It's supposed to get real warm on Friday......Oh yeah, I'll be in San Diego , that's why. It's killin me to give up 10 days of ice fishin, but sometimes ya gotta give a little to get a little, and I mean little. Good news is , this coming Sunday I'll be rubbin elbows with Tiger and Phil at the Farmers Insurance PGA Tourney at Torrey Pines Golf course in San Diego. Watch for me in the crowds, I'll be the guy with the blaze orange hunting coat over a speedo sporting a Mad Bomber fur hat and Go Packers waving flag. Hope they don't find out I'm from the U.P. and label all of us!!! I'll keep checking the reports from out there , so keep me posted . Kevin, when I get back , it should just about be Lawyer season and we'll have to do an afternoon/evening run for laughs and lawyers. Good luck to all !!! Slammer!!!
We had a group of 5 arrive on the 20th and fished through the 23rd from daylight to dark for the most part everyday. We struggled to catch any fish let alone any keepers. We did keep 1 eye that was 16 inches and 7 perch. All in all it was a good time but fishing could have been better. See you next year when we try again.
