I hit another good day fishing the whitefish. Landed 6 whites and two burbot. Lost another half dozen on the way up.

Not much I can help you with as far as Big Bay de Noc goes for Whitefish. On Little Bay de Noc though, you can find them just about anywhere. Infact, I can't believe how many have been caught on Center Reef this winter (not normal though). That said, there are a couple areas known to be good for Whitefish on Little Bay. The first is at the base of the drop-off in front of the Terrace Bay Inn on the west side of the bay between Gladstone and Escanaba. The 2nd (and better) would be off the mouth of the Escanaba Yacht Harbor. Off the yacht harbor, there is usually a small village of folks that fish Whitefish pretty hard. Most years, they keep the area well "chummed" which helps keep the fish in the area. Also, most of the time, the Whitefish bite much better on dark overcast days. Hope this helps...

Thanks Catman, Maybe I'll get up there before ice out and get some whites.Sag Bay was good but the snow has ended it for the Quads.You got toget out 8to10 miles.Will be watching your reports up there.Thanks again.
