Little Bay de Noc Fishing Reports

ESCANABA - U.S. Coast Guard has received reports commercial ice breaking operations will commence today from Rock Island Passage north to the Escanaba iron ore docks.

These ice breaking efforts will be followed by the commencement of regular commercial shipping in and out of Escanaba for the season.

All ice fishermen should remove their ice shacks and equipment from these areas. Snowmobile, All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) operators, and other recreational users of the ice should avoid shipping channels, plan activity carefully, and use caution near the ice.
