March 12th Report...Great evening!!!

Wah, I don't know where to start. I guess I'll start with me since I was the first one to catch my limit! We got on the ice around 3:00 and by 5:00 I had my limit of walleye (a rare occurance). I was jigging 6 feet off bottom in 30 feet of water. I caught a couple on the #9 Glow Hot Perch and the other three on the #9 Glow Jiggin' Rap. After landing my 5th legal, which also happened to be my biggest today, I walked over to good friend Jim McDonald to have him take a picture. While there, he caught his first keeper. His brother John had a couple eaters by now. I then walked over to see my brother Kenneth and his 5 year old son Cameron and was surprised to see that Cameron was outfishing my brother. Cameron ended up with 4 walleye and a nice perch. Kenneth ended up with 2 walleye and a nice perch. Then I walked a little further to see guests Joe Volpe and his son Brandon. Just as I got there, Brandon hooked the twin to my 22 1/2 incher. Both fish were really fat for there size. Joe and Brandon ended up with 7 walleye between them. Ditto for Jim and his brother as they also ended up with 7 keepers total with John catching his limit. John also released a hog and hopefully he can add a picture to this post when he gets home. If I counted right, that's 25 walleye this evening between us all (plus I think John released 4 keepers). And to think my brother wanted to go fish bluegills today...

Definately a day on the ice to remember with great friends and great fishing!

Sorry, was fumbling to get some pictures in a timely manner so I didn't get a length or weight.

It was exciting to fish around such icefisherman legends as the Lee Brothers, Fin-Addict, The Dominator, and Tom from Moonshine...but it's this new Cameron guy that really had me intimidated.

Awesome fish John, those big gals sure look pretty...even prettier when you slide them back down the hole.  Great Job!  You're right...I've got quite the little fisherman there in Cam.  He showed me a thing or two Saturday, I couldn't be prouder of him.  Glad you were able to make it up and get in on the fun, we'll see you next time.
