The bite totally sucked for my brother Kenneth and his clients this morning . Did I tell you it sucked??? Oh yah. They ended up turning an 8 hour trip into a 5 hour trip. They only caught one about 18-19 inches. He spoke to another captain that also quit early after not catching a thing by 10:00 am. There is much truth to the saying "you should have been here yesterday". Of course that doesn't make his clients feel any better... I'm sure somone might have figured out something today, but everyone I spoke to today was crying the blues! It's amazing how the fish can just disappear. Maybe it is just too darn nice. Everyone said they didn't even see much on their electronics. Well, all the fish didn't all just leave. One of three things happened. They either dropped belly to the bottom and went totally negative, suspended up closer to the surface in the warmer water ( so everyone is fishing below them now), or started feeding at night for some reason. He'll be back on the water tomorrow trying out some different things, hopefully it's better than today. Oh, I saved this picture to use on days like today. He'll probably shoot me, but that's what brothers are for
Fishing was slow everywhere today. We fished south Cedar river this morning and got 2 in about 3 fow where we got 7 yesterday ... Ran to menominee and got skunked on the river, talked to a bunch of people fishing the bay and it was similar with very few fish. Down off Oconto hasn't been much better the last couple days. We fished high, low, cranks, harnesses, floating jigs, it doesn't seem to matter. One guy did get 8 last night down here last night so they could be on a short feeding change.
