Thursdays trip with Jeff and Patrick was just a quick 5 hours in the morning because both Kenneth and Captain Keith Wils had to be in Sault Ste. Marie for the Natural Resources Commission meeting in the afternoon. If I remember right, they didn't catch squat that morning. Yesterday, Kenneth and the guys started out casting for bass and pike and didn't have much action. They hit several spots (mainly for bass) including Minneapolis Shoals. On the way to Minneapolis Shoals, they stopped at a couple different spots, but didn't do much for bass. However, Patrick did catch a really nice walleye cranking a Rattle Trap over some rocks in about 8 feet of water. Kenneth was really surprised the fish was so shallow for how bright the sun was at the time (you never know). I never saw them catch a fish at Minneapolis Shoals while going thru the video. They ended the night trolling cranks for walleye and picked up one more before calling it quits. Both walleye yesterday were very healthy fat fish. The cold front really seems to have knocked the fish for a loop with water temperatures already down to 58-59 degrees in some areas of the bay. Not much on the video, but it's good for a few laughs...
