Personally, I thought Brian and Ed were fricken crazy to go out fishing in the conditions we have today. I guess I'm just getting old! That said, they just came back with 45 really nice perch. They all came on 2 inch minnows below slip bobbers. I take that back, they had a few bigger minnows mixed in with their perch minnows, but when suspended below a bobber, nothing would bite the bigger minnows. When they allowed the bigger minnows to swim freely with a slip sinker laying on bottom, the fish would bite the bigger minnows. That right there is a perfect example of why I give up trying to figure out fish!!! If it works, it works. If it doesn't, change it. I think Brian counted 45 as he took them out of the livewell. I'm hoping to talk them out of a few for dinner...

Yes I want to get out for perch too,  I seen boats around butlers island and first reef?  Is that where they were?

Had some good reports from the far north end of the bay, before the wind started to blow. They were fishing in about 10 FOW. Perch bite has been good all summer off the Gladstone beach. That weedbed would be fairly protected from this NW wind.
