Little Bay de Noc Fishing Reports

One of our local custom rod builders, (Nate Foreman,) dropped off a rod he just built. It's a 10 foot, 3 piece fly rod, rated for 2 to 5 weight lines. It's an IM-6 Anglers Roost blank, and the reel seat and fighting butt are made of elk antler, (see picture below.) He's asking $185. If interested, the rod can be seen at Bay View Bait.

Another customer brought in a partial flat of crawlers. He estimated that there are at least 300 left. I don't know where he got them, (not from us,) but I would call the majority of them beaver tails, not full grown crawlers. I would split them up into two groups, add more bedding, and by next spring they would probably be full sized crawlers. Asking $15 for the flat.
